new rule #1
only one account per person, please! if you already have more than one account, please contact me via chat or email admin@codecreature.net to let me know so i can merge them.

why?
a couple reasons! i have storage limitations and every user takes up a certain chunk of space. it also makes things unfair to other users for games, like the worm races. i know some people may want to change usernames, i am working on adding that as an option soon so please just be patient! you can also contact me to have it changed manually for now.

new rule #2
must be over 13 years old to have an account.

why?
i am not equipped to moderate a safe space for very young users. this site is currently intended to be around PG-13, including potential swearing and mature themes.

if there are new messages while a chat window is not focused (like if you're in another tab,) the page title will show an unread message count.

worm game pages also have a little notification bubble at the bottom of the page if new messages come in after you've closed the popup!

currently doesn't remember which messages you've read or not once you refresh the page, but that's something i want to do eventually. might add an opt-in setting to play a sound as well

few new things on the toy trinkets page, including a little working aquarium lamp :33c

set up a basic i spy feature for the main trinkets page! still deciding what all to include, just a couple in there for now. click the magnifying glass at the bottom left corner to start

also added new stuff to the toy trinkets (need to update the styling on a bunch of stuff in there, rip)

edits:

• more space at the bottom! now i need even more stuff to fill it...
• cut-worms illustration links to worm race
• waiting room loading image shrinks to fit small screens
• cleaned transparency edges on crochet star rug
• fixed error when attempting to click and drag from the edge of the screen

new items:

• opening brass lobster box, left side (need to decide what to put in it...)
• gilded shell charm, left side
• illustration of hand surrounded by angel wings, top left
• gold bar chain, top center
• royal lion puppet, bottom center

tested userpages and user settings on chrome for the first time, found a few issues that should hopefully be fixed! if you're a chrome user and something still isn't working right, let me know

few new flags added to the profile options, also made the system much less annoying for myself behind the scenes. i did have to manually correct everybody's profiles, so if you notice a flag missing just go into your settings and re-add it. shouldn't happen again :)

in other news, new emojis:

added a basic message reply system! reply link only jumps to messages if they're already loaded on the page, probably need to fix that eventually.

bunch of new emojis added over the last week! also vectorized most of the existing ones.

halloween is all ready to go, valentine's is Big but a little more than halfway done, april fool's also mostly finished. i'm so excited about these, can't believe i have to wait to show them to everyone. preview what's coming for valentine's here if you want.

on that note, if you witnessed the accidental pushing of a weird update for 2 hours yesterday.... ignore that.

finally, this means nothing to anybody else, but the item data has been moved to php! i had to keep them in the sql database for security purposes when everything was html/javascript, but now that's unnecessary and annoying. hopefully i didn't break anything in the process.

worm birthdays will be celebrated with cake! birthday worm gets a party hat and is immune to poison.
