im switching a bunch of things over 2 avif or webp files (like all the screenshots here in the updates) 4 improved file size and quality!! wont be so jpeg artifacty anymore B33

added an identity flag setting option in the user menu! they display as lil ribbons on the sides of user profiles (only on wide screens for now, the css for narrow screens is fighting me a bit)

options are currently biased in favor of our own identities, if there's something you want added feel free to drop a comment and I'll probably add it

swinging pendulum clock for garfield!! i thought abt making it show the current time but then i came 2 my senses. so it does not do that.

also a few other small merch upd8s. ive b33n trying 2 get accur8 info on the merch im adding but its rly hard actually, a lot of stuff has ©1978 on it but thats NOT when it was made :'33

option added to the user settings page to make gameplay activity private! this means your gameplay stats won't show up in leaderboards, recent activity, etc. just in case anyone wants the benefits of logged in play without being subjected to the mortifying ordeal of being known

chat bbcode now supports custom emojis! very small set for now, will probably add more at some point in the future

the right click message menu now includes a copy option

also hopefully fixed a bug with sending messages via the enter key on mobile

assuming everything worked correctly, you should be able to delete or edit your own chat messages and report messages from other users! currently accessed via right-clicking; will create a better and more accessible system later. mods and admins also have the ability to delete other users' messages, though that means nothing to most of you.

i don't currently feel like doing the work necessary to prevent certain kinds of malicious behavior, so logged out users don't have permission to edit or delete their own messages.

also fixed it so the page doesn't refresh when you send a message. neat

users can now set their pronouns for the chats!

16 character limit but otherwise freestyling it.

• usernames, icons, etc around the site pull from the user database based on a user's unique ID number
• username length limited to 16 characters. the 25 character limit was making layouts a nightmare, sorry
• password reset now displays error messages when something is incorrectly entered. still need to make it so it does this on the same page though

arrow buttons to navigate between worm detail pages on mobile/narrow screen

worm fan leaderboard pages should also behave more appropriately with long usernames, and scores over 999 are rounded and condensed.

couple of bbcode accessibility options added! it's integrated with the site-wide "proper english" feature, so you can add alt text to any regular text or text emoticons!

also fixed it so that you can use [u] underline tags

need to enable alt text for bbcode images next
